Who We Are

The Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) had its early beginnings in 1969 initiated by a group of Nigerian Chemical Engineers who trained abroad and returned to Nigeria to practice. The affairs of the Society are managed by the National Executive Council and the Board of Directors.

The vision of NSChE is to be the center of excellence for the Chemical Engineering profession in Africa and the prime mover of industrialization in Nigeria.

How Nigeria can shift from consumption to production economy — AfDB adviser

The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Industrialisation at the African Development Bank Group, Prof. Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka, has urged Nigerian leaders to adopt a deliberate national strategy to transition the country from a consumption-driven economy to a production-oriented one, warning that continued dependence on imports and raw material exports will perpetuate poverty. Production-driven economy crucial to achieving Nigeria’s $1trn GDP target — Stakeholders

Stakeholders have advocated for a transition to a more production-based economy for Nigeria to achieve its one trillion dollar economy target by 2030.
