Engr. Dr. (Mrs) Edith Egbimhanlu Alagbe, MNSChE
Edith was born to the family of Elder Jacob Iyobhebhe IGBEGU and Princess Justina Omodugha IGBEGU, both of blessed memory in Esan South-East LGA of Edo State. She attended Payne Primary School, Benin City and had her school leaving certificate in 1989, from the Federal Government Girls’ College Benin City. She proceeded to the University of Benin for her first degree in Chemical Engineering (1996). She had her MSC and PhD from the University of Lagos and Lagos State University respectively. Her work experience spans across the private and public sectors of the Nigerian economy where she held different positions and made significant impacts. Past work places include Motu-Tec Ltd, African Paints Nig Plc, AVI Services (Planet Rent-a-car) and the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO).
Currently, she is a Researcher/Lecturer at Covenant University, Ota in Ogun State, Nigeria where her research scope covers areas like biomedical Engineering (hemodynamics), chemical reaction engineering, process control, drying technology, and pulp/paper .
She enjoys writing and has a number of publications to her credit. She is COREN registered and a member of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
She is happily married to Tpl. Olusegun Alagbe and blessed with beautiful children.
